Gov. Bob McDonnell (R) will talk about jobs — his key campaign theme — during his nationally-televised rebuttal to President Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address Wednesday night.
McDonnell, speaking to reporters inside the General Assembly Building, said he would also discuss some of the “philosophical differences” between Republicans and Demcrats.
“I’ll do it in a way that I hope is uplifting and positive and puts the best foot forward for our Republican team,” he said.
McDonnell will deliver the address from the floor of the House of Delegates, in front of a live audience — an interesting departure from normal protocol.
You can watch the State of the Union Address and McDonnell’s response live on NBC29.
