Let the ad wars begin!
Less than a week after Creigh Deeds (D) went on the air with his first television spot of the fall campaign, Bob McDonnell (R) is launching his own commercial.
The ad, set to air everywhere but the expensive Northern Virginia market, highlights McDonnell’s energy plan. McDonnell says the right energy strategy will bring more jobs to Virginia.
This is technically McDonnell’s second TV ad of the general election. His first spot hit the airwaves right after the Democratic primary.
Deeds, meanwhile, has released a radio spot featuring audio from his campaign rally with President Barack Obama earlier this month.
“Now you’ve got the chance to keep moving forward,” the president tells a screaming crowd in the ad.
It’s airing on radio stations in Richmond, Hampton Roads and Roanoke.
