Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill have unveiled their alternative to President Barack Obama’s health plan. Among those touting the GOP proposal is Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Virginia).
At a press conference that just wrapped, Cantor said “people ought to be able to keep their health care if they want it.”
“We want to provide access to a basic plan for all Americans,” he said, stressing an emphasis on lower costs.
The House minority whip said the GOP plan will “bring the private sector into [health care] and keep government out.”
