Warner Stumps for Deeds Friday

After staying out of his party’s gubernatorial nominating fight, former governor and now Sen. Mark R. Warner (D-Virginia) is jumping into the election battle.

Warner will campaign with Democratic gubernatorial nominee Creigh Deeds Friday in Arlington.

Even though Warner didn’t support any candidates in the primary, all three used his name regularly, talking about the “legacy of Mark Warner.”

One Response to Warner Stumps for Deeds Friday

  1. gwen cody says:

Did not Senator Mark Warner when governor
pass the largest increase in taxes in recent memory?

So it is not a surprise that he’d step forward to
    support Mr. Deeds.

Shame on both of them. This is NOT the time
to raise taxes. It IS the time to remove some of the millions of dollars that go to programs that
may make you feel good but are not essential to
    prosperity of the Commonwealth.
