Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe called his opponent, state Sen. Creigh Deeds (D-Bath) at 8:06 p.m.

According to a McAuliffe spokeswoman, McAuliffe pledged “100 percent” of his support to Deeds. McAuliffe says he’ll do anything Deeds needs for the upcoming election. McAuliffe told Deeds that he thinks Deeds will make and “unquestionably better” governor that Republican Bob McDonnell.
