State lawmakers have asked the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Commission (JLARC) to speed up plans to look into Virginia’s lucrative computing contract.
Del. Lacey Putney (I-Bedford) and Sen. Chuck Colgan (D-Prince William) want JLARC officials to present findings to lawmakers in October, instead of in December, as was planned.
JLARC is investigating the multi-billion dollar Internet technology contract Virginia has with Northrop Grumman. Some lawmakers believe the firm isn’t living up to its contractual obligations.
Putney and Colgan want to have more time to digest the information before the 2010 legislative session begins.
